SKY SAILOR 5 November | December 2019 racing. As in the PWC Superfinal in Brazil earlier this year, the super-gaggle reigned supreme and this was the predominant style of racing for the Championships, seeing upwards of 100 pilots race the entire task together in one enormous gaggle. The collective skill level and discipline of the super-gaggle, combined with the near perfect racing conditions, meant that for the first week of the Championships the task committee struggled to set tasks that were sufficiently challenging. Insufficient options within tasks for different lines saw races turn into a congested procession for the duration of tasks, with upwards of 100 pilots landing in goal each day within one or two minutes of each other.
