SKY SAILOR 31 March | April 2019 New Products Nova Mentor 6 – Packed with innovations Nova continues a tradition with the Mentor 6, their top performance EN B class XC glider, complementing its its predecessor’s strengths with real innovations for more performance and flying fun. Innovative Zig-Zag 3D-shaping, a novel Mini-Rib, Vector Tape, Double-B splits, as well as redesigned risers for improved glide performance and better handling. In the air, the Mentor 6 is intuitive, precise and responsive, with comfortably low brake pressure. A great wing for ambitious EN/LTF B cross-country pilots, as well as pilots trading up from low-end EN B wing or down from an EN C or D. As customary for the Mentor series, Nova maintained the low aspect ratio (only 5.43) and fundamental pilot positioning for the sixth generation. Anyone taking a closer look, however, will see that the Mentor 6 has many more innovations than its predecessors and more details: Internal Mini-Rib seams protect seams from damage, Ronstan ball bearing pulleys on the speed- system reduce accelerating effort, new ergonomic design brake handles are comfortable to handle and the new cloth is lighter and more durable. Mentor 6 is available in five sizes with a weight range from 60 to 130kg. There are four standard colours, custom colours available for a surcharge.
