22 SKY SAILOR January | February 2021 When was the last time that you had a close look at your propeller? Road Trip North The course went well and we finished early on both days, which was unusual, but mainly due to the fact that we had the classroom set up in the hangar and didn’t have to walk far for the practicals. The sound of cane trains rumbling past the hangar didn’t hold us up too much either. The setting was just perfect and the weather remained dry. After the course we had a day free and were able to go and see the harbour and explore the area somewhat. The Marian course is now the furthest north that we have driven to, from our home in SE Queensland. On the way home, we stopped at Rockhampton once again and this time managed to drive to Yeppoon for a look around. It was very windy but a nice area. Kev had flown over it on his BFR after the Rockhampton course, so knew where the lagoon was (with a large hang glider wing shaped roof over the restaurant). Once home, we then started getting everything ready for our trip to South Australia, which was to be the first visit in 12 months.
