SKY SAILOR 35 January | February 2019 Refreshers are always welcome and come back free of charge. All we ask is that they stand back from the practicals to allow first time attendees to complete them within the time allotted. We were also very lucky with the weather, with Sunday being dry and sunny, allowing us to complete the 912 carb synch in record time. For those of you who have previously attended one of our courses, you will know what I mean when I say; Austin nailed it at the end… he did it in record time. Well done Austin! Our arrival in Strathalbyn coincided with the new Kenny Blake memorial being put up in the town, ready for the Kenny Blake Festival of Motorcycling weekend. The workmanship on this memorial was fantastic and shows what may be done with all those old tools, sparkplugs and spares parts in the shed. The full story showing the finished helmet is available here [www.kennyblakestrathalbyn.com . au/memorial-unveiling/]. If you have completed a course and would like to come back for a refresher course, you will need to contact me to go on the waiting list. I can then notify you of the dates and availability of space, for upcoming courses. Courses are limited to eight attendees. Southern Districts Flying Club very kindly let their members know when another is in its planning stage through their newsletter, but it really is first come, first in. Contact me at <kmacnally@bigpond.com > if you would like to go on our waiting list. We have a growing number of names for the next course already.
