HGFA Skysailor Magazine

34 SKY SAILOR January | February 2019 T his was our ninth course held at this venue since November 2014, and Larry once again made sure we had everything we needed to make it a success. He also had a new Aeros trike for us to look at. His demo one is an Aeros 2 Cross Country with Still TL wing. It can come with a 582, or a 912 Rotax engine and there are various wings available, with a choice of strutted or king post options. Contact Larry for further details. We must also thank the Southern Districts Flying Club [www.roobyte.com.au/SDFC/ ] who allow us the use of their clubroom for these courses. It is a great venue for us with outstanding facilities. We had eight attendees plus a refresher this time, all from different backgrounds, with one flying trikes, others three-axis/sailplanes and/or gyro and all with varying levels of maintenance experience. Most were from South Australia with Dennis travelling all the way from Victoria to attend. Austin came back to do a refresher and brought his son, George, this time to complete the course. Austin also supplied his Airborne M3 for the 912 practicals, while Larry supplied the 582.
