SAFA Skysailor Magazine
18 SKY SAILOR November | December 2019 Larry has a very neat video of the whole process on [evolutiontrikes.com/rev/] which takes you through the steps of setting up and removing the dolly cart… Ready to fly in under 10 minutes. Talking to Amy, you could easily transport this trike on a flatbed trailer with the wings folded and putting ‘socks’ on the wingtips would stop them moving around too much. The use of a pneumatic parachute recovery system was interesting to see on Larry’s new trikes. Made by Comelli, the various types available, can be found on their website [comellisrl.com/en/ catalogo.php?cat=aria] . Hopefully, this type of technology will be taken up over here in Australia too, to enable owners to comply with maintenance requirements of their emergency chutes. Walking around Oshkosh, as many of you would be aware, is no mean feat. You can cover vast distances each day trying to take it all in (see facts below) – I am sure we will make the journey again.
