SKY SAILOR 7 March | April 2020 before, this flight goes down as one of my most special. I flew XC off this little hill, a hill, out on the Dalby flatlands – a rarity since we usually release off tow out here at a nice height which gives us so much more time to find a climb! I was thrilled to get away from such a low height and then be able to travel home. A huge ‘thank you’ goes to my sister, Laura, who picked me up to take me back to Bell, where I had to walk back up once more to get my ute. Interest- ingly, I had a max lift of 5.2m/s and a max speed of 72km/h which I thought were rather good for thattime of day. Seriously, had so much fun doing this, I can’t wait to do it again – only this time with some mates, so we can all enjoy it together. All photos: Chris Cook
