Bluetooth not only allows sending flights to pilot’s profiles via your mobile phone, but also activates a live tracking feature. There is no need for a new sim card subscription, you can use your smartphone’s current data plan. Your phone will use your instrument’s GPS position (as well as other information such as altitude, speed, vario...) – you can bypass the energy-consuming phone’s internal GPS.
